7 Self-Love Activities for Autumn Weather
This article is all about the self-love activities to do for the autumnal weather
We all love a bit of transition, whether it is into something of a new season or just your going into a different phase of life. The excitement, the build-up and anticipation of it all is an amazing experience. But, while we transition into the autumn weather, there are some amazing self-love activities to enjoy and do while the time is right!! 😊
1. Go On a Hike
If you’re an outdoor person like me, then nature is always so fascinating. For me, these past few days I have come to realise that I love to just soak in some nature. It’s helped my brain become calmer and given me a sense of relaxation that I have never felt before. Go for a hike and it doesn’t have to be too hard. Enjoying nature is one of the best forms of a self-love activity you can do for yourself.
2. Watch Your Favourite Fall Movie
One of the best things to do when you’re home alone is to watch your favourite movie. Self-love therapy activities are always the best because it helps with your mind and refreshes a mundane routine. Just because it’s Halloween time that doesn’t mean you only watch scary movies. There are some wonderful romantic movies out there that you can watch while snuggling under the blanket with a warm mug of hot chocolate 😊.
So yeah, self-love comes in many different forms and watching a movie is one of them!!
3. Cook Your Favourite Fall Dish
For me, food is always a good option. And when it is the fall time, food is always a must. If you love to cook (not me, I love to eat lol), then make your favourite dish that works wonders in the autumn weather. Even if it takes five minutes of an hour of cooking time, enjoy it. As cooking is always a therapeutic self-love activity that is fun to do and from the comfort of your own home!
For me, pasta is a must whenever the weather gets a bit cold. I love warm food that satisfies the craving and gives my stomach endless peace… lol. Cooking is the best activities for self-love that you can possibly do.
4. Snuggle Up and Read a Book
Autumn is the perfect time to just really relax and not move 😊. I love to just snuggle up in a warm cosy blanket and read my favourite book. The best self-love activities for adults are not always focused on being active and going out the house. Any form of relaxation is a form of self-love. Read a book, drink a warm drink and enjoy the fall weather while wrapped in a blanket of peace 😊.
5. Decorate Your Space for The Ultimate Fall Aesthetic
A little decorating never goes wrong. With autumn here and the changing leaves, it is best to reorganize and redecorate your space for the ultimate fall aesthetic. To be honest, self-care and self-love go hand in hand, and slowly, I have come to realize the more I do some self-care activities, the more self-love I have for myself. So, decorate your space. Whether you go all out or go for the minimal aesthetic, do what you love and enjoy every moment of it as well!!
6. Learn Something New
Fall is the best time to learn something new. Not only is the end of the year near, but learning something new and taking that into a new year is super exciting. For me, that is learning to make cute cards and stationery and focusing on my writing and blog. So, when the new year time comes, I have a few things that I can say I have learnt. Which has helped me grow too. Learn a new language, try to do something different that you normally wouldn’t or learn how to cook. The options are endless!
7. Go Fall Shopping
We all love to shop and now because of the weather changing, we have a valid reason 😊. Go fall shopping and get some cute fall clothes to change up the aesthetic and vibe. I love shopping and with every new season, I get some really cute items that I love to wear again and again and again. I already have a long list of what I want to get (plus I’ve bought some real cute heels that are bomb)!
Dear Misfits
Do some fun activities to love yourself because only then will you truly be happy and content with you! I never used to do things that I loved, and overtime, that was one of the main reasons why I started to get depressed. Now I focus on myself and my time, whether I do nothing or do some kind of activity. I never force myself to do anything and that has actually helped me with loving myself and knowing my own value the most!! 😊
