It’s getting a bit stressful these days and especially the work is taking its toll. But that doesn’t mean you can’t pamper yourself after a hectic work shift. Honestly, I am not feeling all that great lately but I want to start making time for myself. There are different ways to pamper yourself that doesn’t have to break the bank as well!!! 😊
I’ve always thought that a pampering session meant having to go to the salon or spa and get expensive treatments done just to relax the mine. But that’s not the case at all. So, how to pamper yourself is the question I often times asked and now I have the answer. For me, it is more about the mind and then the body comes into play.
Take Some Me Time by Relaxing
Relaxation is an art and the best way to destress and align your energy. One of the best ways to always pamper yourself without even thinking about it is just blocking out some relaxation time and having some quiet time with your thoughts. Just you and your mind, clearing all the negative energy away and being on track with your goals, dream and aligning your energy back to positivity.
I like to come home from the gym (yes yes, I am trying my best to get healthy… let’s see how it goes) and just unwind. Then relax and close my eyes and shut out all the noise. It really does help. By doing this, I can also make time for manifestation and really focus on what I want the most and how to make all of my dreams come true. So really, I’m controlling on own minds narrative and allowing myself some relaxation and pampering time.
Eat Your Favourite Food
The best ways to pamper yourself are the ones that make you entirely happy, and for that, food is the ultimate choice. Not only does food help with releasing stress and giving you a boost in mood, but also gives that warm and homelike feeling. Something we all crave!!!
I love to eat food and I especially crave food when I am coming on my menstrual cycle. So, for me the best way to pamper yourself during your period days are the ones where you eat you favourite comfort food and relax by taking sometime out of your work and hectic life schedule. 😊
Pamper Yourself by Doing Something Fun
There is no right way to pamper yourself. But there can be fun ways and a way to pamper yourself is doing something fun and exciting. That could be learning something new like a language or trying something different like a new fashion trend or hairstyle. It doesn’t have to be too drastic, but doing something fun that is totally out of your routine is ideal.
For me, that means to try new restaurants because I look food or learn something new like a new skill that can be useful in building my career up. I love to design cards and mostly it’s just a hobby, so when I am feeling down or want to just relax and not scroll through Instagram, I’ll create some bomb-ass cards on my favourite design tools and just post them on Insta at random. It’s something so small but helps me to relax, and learn something new each time. Boosting my creativity and always keeping me on-point with my skills 😊!
Full On Pampering Session
For me, I used to think I had to spend tons of money at the salon or spa to just have a relaxing pamper session. But that’s not the case. So, how to pamper your body at home is the question you should be asking rather than searching the most expensive places to get a spa session done (although, going to the spa and treating yourself is lovely).
Best things to do to pamper yourself at home is to just relax, take a bath, read your favourite book and spend some quality time with yourself. It’s easy to say, but honestly, with me being able to do all of the simple things at home, my mind is still refreshed after a hectic day at work. Pamper sessions never have to get expensive if you really just take the time to focus on your mind and yourself. Do all the things you love on the weekend, after work and you’ll never have an excuse to not want to spend time with yourself.
Dear Misfits
I know after work no one feels like moving. Sitting on an uncomfortable chair and having to listen to work stuff gives us and everyone a serious headache. But that’s not all, after work, if you don’t focus on yourself, you won’t be doing your mind any good.
Just keep going and keep on track. Pamper yourself in the smallest of ways after work at home, without ever having to break the bank and still feel good about yourself at the end. A win win situation for all of us 😊.
