It is starting to sink in. Summer is gradually fading out, the weather is still humid where I live, but the overall feeling is different. The blues are settling that the year is coming to an end, very very soon. Even though the heat is still looming and the breeze isn’t even barely there, it does feel like the atmosphere has changed. I mean everyone around me is always talking about the excitement the winter times will bring and how we’ll all take walks when the cooler months come.
While I’m not a summer lover, mostly because I get allergies, I don’t like to think about how fall has come around so quickly. Although, I do love longer nights!! 😊

Reflect And Rethink
I hardly carve out time. I’m the first one to always make time for others, but when it comes to myself, I don’t really focus on my own mental wellbeing. I know that is super wrong, but it is how I am built 😐. Although I have been doing that for years now, I think this fall, I will reflect and rethink the majority parts of my life. Making sure I spend quality time on myself and take the time out to relax and revaluate my life goals, journey and the path I want to take.
I love planning and making goals (even though I don’t stick to them, but once I figure that out, I’ll write about it😊). So, this cozy fall season is the perfect time to get out a journal and start planning and setting some small but attainable goals before the new year. I mean why wait for the next year to come when I can be working on my dreams from now??
Processing The Transition
I think we all need time… and to process what is happening around us. All of us are so inclined to just jump into what’s next, but we lose ourselves because of that. For me, this time around, I want to process the transition into the fall season and be aware of everything that is happening. I want to enjoy the cozy fall day and still be present through every moment. My favourite thing to do is just absorb everything around me and take the time out to breathe and see where life takes me without worrying along the way. To enjoy the autumnal weather and to cozy up while watching an amazing fall movie.

For me, change is something I am not comfortable with. Whether it is adjusting to something small or a huge change, I just can’t seem to accept it. I go into depression. But season affective depression also is a huge factor when fall comes around. Because the days go shorter and the new year is looming more quicker than ever, I start to automatically feel down in the dogs.
If this is something that is persistent or brings you unnecessary tension, go to the doctor. But, the main thing to also focus on is changing up your routine that is aligned with the fall season. The smallest of changes can help with the mind adjusting and paving the way for a better future. At least for me, that is how I am.

Committing to yourself is the top priority before anything or anyone else. This could be the smallest of things like:

Doing these things also don’t have to take up too much time. It can actually be less in time but help with committing to yourself for the longer run. Take out anywhere between 30 minutes or a few hours a week to ease in the process of prioritizing yourself; first and foremost.
